Ice Fall Climbing

This brand new trend sport has also reached Bad Goisern.
When the temperatures around Bad Goisern sink low enough between Christmas and the end of February, you can climb up frozen water falls or more aptly named ice falls.

From early winter and well into the first couple of months of the year, the ice falls are safe to climb. This is due to the expertise of the Thomas Kukla Alpine Ski Mountainguides and their specialist safety equipment which is born into the ice.
