Snow shoe hike to the Heilbronn Cross
Short description: From the summit station of the Dachstein Krippenstein Cable Car you pass the Lodge and continue via the Marschierf to the Heilbronn Cross. Along the way we have views across the glacier to the Dachstein summit and beyond. About an hour and a half later we will have reached the Heilbronn Cross. After enjoying a short rest we make our way steadily back to the Gjaidalm, which should take around 3 hours. This high altitude snow shoe hike affords stunning views, but should only be attempted in very good and stable weather conditions.
