Lucky spot hike to the Gosaulacke

Already for the third time the Salzkammergut has been proclaimed the Austrian national holiday as the general lucky day. On Friday, 26 October 2012 the yearly hike will take us to the lucky spot "Gosaulacke".

"Glücksplatz" Koppenwinkel

A distance away from all the cars there are still little oases which bring good luck. The "Koppenwinkel" Nature Conservation Area at the foot of the Dachstein, which includes the "Koppenwinkelsee" and "Koppenwinkellacke" (small lakes) on the River Traun, is one of those fortune-bringing places to visit.

Löckernmoos - Wildfrauenloch

Exactly half way round the "Löckernmoos Circular Trail" is the "Wildfrauenloch" - a fortune-bringing place to visit, high above the Gosau Grindstone Quarries.

The "Kalmoos Church"

An interesting cave in the rocks below the Goisern Hut. In the years of Religious Reformation, almost the entire Upper Austrian Salzkammergut became protestant. Pressure, however, from the strict catholic Habsburger, became too great.
