Fun, excitement and adventure are in store for you at the Hallstatt Salt Mine, the realm of the „man in the Salt“. A tour of the mine takes lets you follow in his footsteps and discover traces and relicts which bear witness to 7000 years of salt mining. A mega slide, 64m in length, takes you to the subterranean salt lake. Finally you board the miners’ train which will transport you back into the daylight. A visit to the Salt Mine is an ideal family outing, regardless of the weather, and will bring out the explorer in parents and kids alike!

The traditional Bad Goisern "Heimatmuseum" was constructed in 1981. This was a project developed by the local folk group. Originally the building was a store room belonging to the local mill.

A shuttle service of an extraordinary kind is the High Mountain Express in the Gosau Valley. You are transported like never before by tractor and trailer up to the Higher Gosau Lake and the "Holzmeisteralm".
