An interactive museum in Lauffen, a former place of pilgrimage.
Oldest farm (with two identical-looking double storey buildings) in the Salzkammergut with traditional mill for grinding crops, saw mill, smokery and stables
The museum is located in the northern part of the neighbourhood, just before you reach the old "Salzmarkt" (salt market) in Lauffen. The mill is thought to be the oldest building in Anzenau. Buildings are numbered according to order in which they were built, therefore the mill is number 1. Records of the mill date back to 1325. It was a farm, originally, with a smoke house which was in operation until 1964, with stables, and was therefore known as a "Zwiehof" (a farm used for 2 different purposes).
The Anzenau mill was sympathetically renovated in 2005 and converted into a museum. Our dedicated staff look forward to welcoming you soon!
| Events at the Anzenau Mill: Art exhibitions, Violin Concerts, Bread baking, Concerts, Wine tasting and much more! The dates are published as soon as possible! |
