Summer
The boat rides on the Hallstatt Lake have been available 1862, and the ferry service from Hallstatt to the railway station since 1881 – and this is the only boat connection in Austria maintained during the winter months.
The Hallstatt Lake Boat Service has been in the possession of the Hemetsberger family since the autumn of 1967, and comprises a fleet of four boats.
The Hallstatt-Obersee-Untersee-Steeg run is operated mainly by the firm’s ladies, and you will often meet our lady captains on all of the other routes.
