Summer
Sensational views towards the Dachstein. There is no access to the hut by road or by cable car, so Linde the alpine dairymaid is able to offer only basic snacks and refreshments such as Kaiserschmarrn (local sweet dish), soup, sausage, and cheese, sausage or ham sandwiches.
Drinks available are squash, fruit juice, cider, beer, wine, other soft drinks and tea with schnaps or rum. Other sweet dishes are available too.
Hut open from the end of June to the end of September.
Overnight stays by prior arrangement (mattresses available for up to 11 persons).
Ascent:
From the "Pötschenkehre" approx. 3 hours
"Pötschenhöhe2 approx. 2.5 hours (caution needed)
Obertraun approx. 4 hours
