Welcome to the Goisern Hut in the parish of Bad Goisern. The hut, with views of the Kalmberg, is one of the loveliest and most popular destinations in the mountains surrounding the Goisern valley.
Route to the Goisern Hut: The "normal route" via Saurucken from Bad Goisern takes around 3 hours, and the route takes you via the Tiefe Scharte and the Kalmberg mountains. From Gosau the walk takes 5 to 6 hours and includes the
target="_blank">Iglmoosalm. From Russbach allow 3 to 3.5 hours. From the Neualm allow 4 hours.
The proprietors of the hut always provide a warm welcome. They sell home-made cakes and pastries as well as other delicious snacks made from local recipes.
During the winter months the Goisern Hut is a popular destination for ski tours, tobogganing and
snowshoe hiking.
Open:
1st May - 31st October and from
25th December - 10th January
From January to the end of March the hut is open from Saturday to Tuesday.
Seating: 35 places inside and approx.120 on the sun terrace outside.
Overnight accommodation: Camping facilities for 32 people
