Hike to the Gosaulacke - A place of good Fortune

For the third time, the Salzkammergut has declared the Austrian National Holiday a day of good luck and fortune. And so, on Friday 26th October 2012, visitors and locals will enjoy an annual hike to the Gosaulacke - a place to find good fortune.

With this in mind, there will be an organised walk once again this year, for locals and visitors, in the World Heritage Hallstatt-Dachstein Salzkammergut Region

We walk along the left hand shore of the Lower Gosau Lake towards the Dachstein. At the end of the lake we continue our route through a nature preservation area to our place of good fortune – the Gosaulacke.

Sense the mysticism of the mountains and enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the Salzkammergut region! Alternatively, you can take the High Mountain Express land train to the Gosaulacke. Here you can relax and enjoy delicious, home-cooked food and traditional music.

10.30 at the Gosausee Inn - those taking part in the walk
The High Mountain Express departs from the Gosausee Inn at 11.00 o'clock.

There is no charge for those taking part in the walk!
Please reserve your place on the High Mountain Express in advance. There is a charge of 10 Euros per person for the round trip.The event will take place regardless of the weather.
