The Badstubn Mountain Hut is idylically located between the well-known grindstone quarries and the "Löckernmoos". Linda, the proprietor, serves her guests delicious local food specialities. Her "Pofesen" (an Austrain dessert) are well-known throughout the area.
The best way to reach the hut is from Gosau Mittertal or Hintertal. It takes about an hour and a half to reach the hut. From here you can complete the circular tour around the Grindstone Quarries and the Löckernmoos. Alternatively, you can travel up by "Land Train" or shuttle service. Guided tours are also available.
Allow: 1.5 hours
Special features: Grindstone Quarries, Löckernmoos mountain moorland. Refreshments available at the hut from the beginning of June to the end of October.
