Summer
The Holzmeisteralm mountain pasture and hut nestles between the shore of the Higher Gosau Lake and the magnificent "King Dachstein". The lake is perfect for a cooling swim on hot summer days!
Either follow the hiking trail (takes an hour and a half to two hours) or take the Hochgebirgsexpress – a "land train" pulled by a tractor. This departs from the Lower Gosau Lake every day.
Those who wish to watch the early morning sunrise can spend the night here on bunks with mattresses.
The Holzmeisteralm is renowned for its excellent home-cooked food which can be enjoyed on the terrace which has lovely views of the lake.
