Summer
The Obertraun Sarstein Hut is situated at 1650 m above sea level.
A hiking trail (2.5 to 3 hours) leads to the hut from Obertraun. You can also reach the hut from Bad Goisern. The route takes in the Goisern Sarsteinalm and the summit of the Sarstein. Allow 5 to 6 hours.
The Obertraun Sarstein Hut is a self-catering hut owned by the "Friends of Nature", and is open at weekends in summer, on request. It is closed in the winter.
There are sleeping facilities with mattresses for 16 people.
