Summer
The Adamek Hut, which in 2008 celebrated its 100th anniversary, is situated on the edge of the Dachstein glacier. The hut is fondly known as the "Dachstein railway station" as many walks and hikes in the Dachstein region converge here.
The trail to the Adamek Hut is one of the loveliest in the Alps. Walk along the shore of the Lower Gosau Lake, and then onwards past a smaller natural pool up to the Higher Gosau Lake. From here you follow an Alpine Club trail up to the Adamek Hut. Total distance is 14 km and 1250 metres of altitude.
Total time needed: 4 - 5 hours
