Summer
The Josef-Scheutz-Hut is the perfect destination for small groups wishing to explore their unspoilt natural suroundings in the Alps. The hut is situated in the Predigstuhl hiking area, and is also easily accessible by car.
There are mattresses sleeping up to 23 guests, but you must bring your own sleeping bags, pillows and sheets. A boiler provides hot water for the washrooms, and the kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker and a fridge. Three wood-burning stoves provide heating for the hut. You need to chop the wood for these yourself.
The Josef-Scheutz-Hut is available throughout the summer, and also in winter (snow chains essential for the drive up to the hut).
