The Facts

Start: Tourist Information Gosau. We travel along the B166 road towards Pass Gschuett. After 1.8 km we bear right and climb towards the Iglmoosalm along a forest track. After a short ascent bear right. 4km further along we bear left in the direction of Iglmoosalm (mountain pasture) which we reach after a further 2.4 km. From this point we can cycle a further 4 km uphill until a sign tells us that we have reached the end of the trail.

100 before the sign we can join a trail to the right which leads to a sign-posted ascent to the Goisern Hut and the Kalmberg. We need to turn around here and ascend, along the same tracks, via the Iglmoosalm to the fork in the tracks. Turn left here along the forest track.

After 15 km we reach another fork and the opportunity to deviate from the route to the Klausbergalm. The marked track takes you sharp left up to the Ramsau part of Gosau. After passing the forest track barriers we join the paved track to the right down towards the main road. After 20 metres turn right again towards the "Edelweiss" holiday home.
We cross the Gosau stream via a wooden bridge, turn right after a narrow track and right again at the Sport Hotel. From here we return to our starting point in the main village.
