Salzkammergut Mountainbike Trophy

Route inspection

There will be an additional section of over 68 km in the 2010 Salzkammergut Mountainbike Trophy event. Anyone interested can personally join the man in charge and test out the route!

The route inspection will take place on the weekend of 21st to 23rd May 2010 in Bad Goisern.

Programme of events:

Friday 21st May Meet, welcome, get to know each other and discussion

* Individuals make their own way to Bad Goisern
* 19.00 - All cyclists meet at the Halleralm for evening meal and a presentation on events planned for the weekend and the cycle route. There will also be a welcome from the guide and participants will be divided into groups

Saturday 22nd May 2010 New route stretches 68 km and covers 2155 m in altitude

* 8:30 a.m. Meet with guides at the central car park in Bad Goisern where packed lunches will be distributed
* 8:45 a.m. Set off by bike to Obertraun (approx 20 mins) or
* 9:00 a.m.Meet at Bad Goisern railway station where packed lunches will be distributed
* 9:16 a.m. Take train to Obertraun
* 10:00 a.m. Start of the route inspection from the sports pitches in Obertraun to the market square in Bad Goisern
* 6:00 p.m. Meet at the Rathlucka-Hütte for a meal and photo session (pictures from the day)

Sunday 23rd May 2010 "Short Route" with E-bike (52.9 km and 1450 m of altitude)

* 10:30 a.m. Distribution of E-bikes from tourist information by the central car park in Bad Goisern. Limited number available - please reserve in advance.
* 11:00 a.m. Start of the 53 km route from the Bad Goisern central car park (all cyclists: e-bikers or those with own bike)
* Approx. 1:30 p.m. lunch break at the Huetteneck
* 5:00 p.m. Return of E-bikes at central car park
* Individuals return home

Cost: 55.00 euros to include
* guides
* train ticket (Bad Goisern to Obertraun)
* E-bike
* 1 packed snack
* 1 lunch
* 2 evening meals
