Master Craftsmen

The traditional "Meister Summer" will take place between 23rd July and 28th August in the HAND.WERK.HAUS in Bad Goisern. The theme for 2011 is "Music and Instruments.

Meistersommer im Handwerkhaus Salzkammergut

Craftsmen and women from Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Styria are proud to present their highly original works of art in the Salzkammergut HAND.WERK.HAUS and invite you to come and watch them at work and perhaps make some purchases.

There are "Meister Days" on 23rd July and 27th and 28th August from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. These "living workshops" at the HAND.WERK.HAUS and the courtyard at Neuwildenstein stately home are your opportunity to watch the artists at work, speak to them and discover more about their techniques.

On Saturday 23rd July there is also a shooting contest with great prizes, children's handicrafts and other activities for our youngest visitors, as well as music.

On Sunday 7th August you can try out different musical instruments. The day is organised by master musical instrument makers, and there is also a special programme of events for children. Young brass musicians from Goisern round the day off with performances, and there will be numerous other attractions.

Farewell Fest on Sunday 28th August - Master handicrafts with musical entertainment and lots of fun .....

"S’Hofbeisl" is on hand to provide food and refreshments in this wonderful setting.

The "Meister Summer" offers a varied programme of events throughout the summer months..
