Culture in Hallstatt

The whole concept of "Culture in Hallstatt" is proof of the perfect harmony which can exist between modern art and historic surroundings. In addition to the traditional highlights of the region for tourists, locals and visitors alike can experience something new and exciting.

There's always a lot going on during the "Culture in Hallstatt" season. This is proof that our World cultural Heritage Site has just as much happening today as it did throughout its 7000 history.

There is a rich and varied programme of events being planned, and many different musical genres are being represented, from the craziest string quartet in the world to cabaret. Other types of music include Austropop, Brazilian samba, Tango Argentino, Balkan Music, folk music to Dixieland, and much more!

Every Tuesday is show-time from 11th May to 14th September 2010 in Hallstatt. Entry is usually free, except the opening events, cabret, open air cinema and Open-Air Harri Stoijka.

The quality of the entertainment is, of course, very high, and so it is hoped that visitors might be able to make a volutary contribution to costs of a euro or two.
