Exciting days lie in store for you when you come to the UNESCO Hallstatt-Dachstein Salzkammergut World Heritage Region!

Take advantage of the "Dachstein World Heritage" special offer on the Krippenstein. It is 100 years since the unique Cave World was first discovered. With the Jubilee Ticket you can visit the Mammoth Cave and the Giant Ice Cave, and then continue your journey to the vast Dachstein plateau. A guided tour of the Koppenbrüller Cave is also available.

A visit to the Salt Mines Exhibit in Hallstatt is a must. Salt was already being mined here 7000 years ago. Take a stroll around this small, historic town, with an audio guide, and learn interesting facts about fishing, the Charnel House, the parish churches and lots more!

In the HAND.WERK.HAUS you will not only discover more about local handicrafts, but you will also be able to purchase quality locally made goods.

If you take a cable car ride on the Gosaukammbahn for the Zwieselalm( high mountain plateau, ever popular with walkers), you can enjoy spectacular views of the Dachstein glacier and Lake Gosau, even before you set off!
