World Heritage. Mine? Yours? Ours!
A World Heritage Region means having an inherited future in the hands. No one asked for it. Anyone can make something out of it. For example: Egypt with its pyramids or Australia with the Great Barrier Reef. Austria with its World Heritage Regions like Hallstatt-Dachstein/Salzkammergut is on the very same list being awarded with the UNSECO seal of excellence. World Heritage is a huge opportunity if the region concerned succeeds to incorporate its tangible and/or intangible heritage into the everyday life of cultural tourism, labour market policy and social aspects. At the World Heritage Congress 2010 well-versed experts from the mentioned fields will present their experiences as well as participating in an open dialog. We look forward to your participation in this top-class and interesting debate.
