Carneval is that special time of year for house parties and other social gatherings, and a time to celebrate good, traditional food and drink. Come and join in all the fun and revelry!
The Fasching Parades are among the highlights of the season - dancers in bright coloured costumes, parodies of other things going on in the area and lots more!
The "Sockenball" or "Socks Ball" is the biggest party in the Inner Salzkammergut and takes place on Fasching Saturday in the Stephaneum. You must not forget to wear your socks for the event!
This season of high spirits comes to an end on Ash Wednesday when the ever popular Herring Feasttakes place!
