There is so much to do in the cold winter months too. There are countless kilometres of prepared pistes which attract both skiers and snowboarders. There are plenty of alternatives too: cross-country skiing, tobogganing and even climbing frozen waterfalls.

100 Years of Dachstein World Heritage

100 years have gone by since cave explorer Georg Lahner first ventured into the depths of the Dachstein Giant Ice Cave. Throughout this last century, this largest subterranean ice-filled landscape has transformed the Inner Salzkammergut into a tourist magnet.
